You're a complete ASSHOLE. Those posters were given out for free, and
some fuck like you grabs a bunch to sell. It's dickheads like you that
little by little ruin a good thing. Here's hoping people catch on to
you and you get no more tape trades from the net. Hope you house gets
broken into and all you tapes get stolen.

Hey its poop. when i said that god street wine was more biker style, i didn't
really mean that their music is geared toward bikers. i don't really know what
i meant, to tell the truth. i guess i meant that the lead singer's voice is
sort of a bit more raspy - more gruff. and for some reason - when i looked at
the pictures of the band, i thought of motorcycles. don't really know why. they
just sort of looked like guys who would ride harleys. and you're right that
phish wouldn't really be one of their influences. one of their cousins is a
much better way to put it. i didn't know god street wine had been around for
six years. i thought they had only been around for a couple. anyways, check em
out. they are good.
Peace, Poop

Pssst...hey, guys...there's already a newsgroup to discuss Dead bootlegs. It's
called rec.music.gdead. It's fine to discuss the other groups here to a point,
but it's time for this thread to go off to dead-flames.
It is a pretty damn good show, though! What a sweet, pretty St. Stephen. And
Phil plays fat bass in Scarlet.
And now back to your regular scheduled posts.

You sure it's not "Wilson, King of Prussia"? I think it is.

Uh, maybe you missed the first post. I know people still need tapes -
the grovelling is clearly evidence of that. Aren't there any newbies
left? This is ADOPT A PHREAK! Everybody _loves_ Adopt a Phreak!
I get tons of mail, so much I can't handle it all, everytime I do this.
Perhaps the list has outlived its usefulness. Perhaps it has
eradicated the problem it was invented to solve. Maybe we, on the
phish.net, have unlocked the key to world peace...
BULLSHIT. Who'd believe that pompous load of crap? I'm going to
repost the announcement. Here it is. Sign up today. If you need
tapes, you need Adopt a Phreak. Read on.
*** A D O P T A P H R E A K ***
There are some new aspects to the program (nothing earth-shattering,
but important nonetheless), so those veteran Adopt a Phreakers of
you should read this whole post carefully, too.
This is the deal where, absolutely free of charge, you newbies send
me your name, e-mail address, and tapelist (optional - in case I want
to trade), and I'll hook you up with a parent with whom you can then
set up trades. Getting your name on this list will give your collection
the potential to increase exponentially! In previous installments, the
upper limit on phreak-elegibility has been 10 hours. Well, I'm feeling
generous today, so let's call it 15 hours this time around. I know, I
know - you're thinking, "How can he afford to do this?" Well, we won't
go into that, suffice it to say that I used a few "family" connections. ;->
Now, the important part:
WE NEED PARENTS!!!! Come on, don't you remember those days
when you, too, were in desperate need of boots (especially you
phreaks from the last few lists - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, AND SO
DO I)? Some kind phriend hooked you up with a bunch of tapes to get
you going, right?
Well, here's your chance to give back to the community which has
given so much to you. ADOPT A PHREAK TODAY! The success
of this list balances on how many parents subscribe - the more
parents we have, the less burden on all involved. All it takes is a
little bit of time on your part to make someone's Phish experience all
that much better. SO, BE A PARENT, PLEASE.
All that said, now you know what to do. If you don't, here's a
summary:
1) Potential Phreaks: send name, e-mail address, and list by
midnight, some date in very near future. The closing date on this
list will be Sunday, March 5. At that time I will crank out the
finished copy of the list and send it to all involved.
If you don't get in on time, don't do anything drastic - this is only one
of many installments. I'll re-post this message from time to time so
that more newcomers and parents can join up.
2) Potential Parents: send name, e-mail address (and tapelist only if
you have the time and inclination), by March 5. If you can find it in
your hearts to volunteer to take on more than one phreak, that
would help out greatly.
Now that I've taken up enough bandwidth, start sending that stuff in,
and I'll (hopefully) get the list out by Wednesday, March 8.
So tell all your friends, whether they have a lot of tapes or they have
very few tapes, and let them know that if they miss this one, they
can get in next time. Of course, next time probably won't be until
April. But, there are always kind people making newbie offers. Help
me to help you to spread the phishiness - SIGN UP NOW! You'll be
glad you did.
Later!
